Zak and Dask get three sets of hands - open, gripping, and closed - and Kala also gets open and closed hands, but instead of a left grip, she gets a peace-sign right. Since this is a $75 three-pack, expect a good chunk of accessories to be included. Since these are small figures, I'd treat the joints with care, though I haven't had too much issues with them. The knees are pretty tight, so be mindful of that. There's also a ball-jointed chest, ball-socket hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, and swivel/hinge ankles. The swivel/hinge joints at the shoulders, elbows, and wrists are nice, and I was surprised by how well the wrists moved, but the elbows are a little tight, and the boys don't have much bend in theirs due to the sleeves. The ball-jointed head and neck combo allows them to look all around, but Zak's neck doesn't want to move all that much. There are a few fuzzy edges, though, and the hands aren't all that perfect, either.Īll three teens have the same points of articulation, allowing for plenty of poses to be taken. The paint work is really nice as well, down to even giving Zak painted and sculpted eyes under his glasses. The height is slightly varied on each figure, but all stand around the 5 1/4" mark. I'm impressed by how well Zak's hair was replicated. Everyone is really spot-on, from the funky clothes to out-of-this-world hairstyles. Now that that's out of the way, all three figures are sculpted by Paul Harding, who's been doing a lot of Turtle stuff recently.

My wish was granted a few months ago when they became the toon line's first three-pack.īefore we get on with this review, I just want to clarify: Zak is the blue one, Dask is the yellow one, and Kala is the green one. Still, they were pretty important in the five-episode pilot season and continued to pop up from time to time, and that's why I wanted them to get the NECA treatment. Sure, they had cool designs, but their annoying voices and lingo were off-putting to me. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Classic Cartoon (Neca)I'll be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of the Neutrinos from the TMNT cartoon.
